Any process of securing an existing inventory of software is likely to be a long term project. Justin will examine some of the ways in which we can gain some "quick wins" when implementing such a programme, and areas where we can gain significant benefit from "band aid" solutions in the short term. Examples will cover securing some of the top issues from the OWASP Top 10 for web applications, as well as practices that can help prevent your server/desktop software being vulnerable to buffer overflows.
