Survey of Application Vulnerabilities

 

According to the recently released IBM X-Force Trend Report, web application vulnerabilities

continue to be the largest category of security disclosures highlighting why it's critical to address application security throughout the software development life cycle. Forty-nine percent of all vulnerabilities are related to Web applications and sixty-seven percent of web application vulnerabilities had no patch available at the end of 2009. This session will identify some of the most serious application vulnerabilities and examine the risk that they pose, how they are introduced and how they can be prevented.
